No polling on March 30 in Ghizar: Supreme Appellate Court GB

Gilgit, March 28: Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit – Baltistan has annulled the orders of chief court for holding by-election in Ghizar on 30 March and ordered that new date for polls should be decided with the consultation of Chief Secretary, Chief Election Commissioner, Advocate General, Deputy Commissioner Ghizar and all candidates.

A full bench comprising Chief Justice Nawaz Abbasi, Justice jaffar Shah and Justice M.Yaqub, on Monday heard the appeal of government and issued the short order.

Chief justice Nawaz Abbasi in his remarks said that the chief court issued the orders with out hearing the parties.He also said”it is impossible to hold election on 30 March”.

Court also rejected the objections of a candidate ehsan shah regarding pre poll rigging.
