Pakora School building, "under-construction" for 7 years

Chatorkhan, April 15 (TR): The Girls Primary School Pakora has been “under-construction” for a period of 7 years. Having an incomplete and fragile roof, and lacking window pans and doors, the Pakora School’s building symbolizes the concerned department and the government’s ineptness and lack of seriousness in facilitating education in the region.

Two days back, a portion of the school’s incomplete roof collapsed due to a very light “wind”, according to the local people.

The local people have demanded action against the government contractor for delaying construction of the school building and also for using sub-standard material. The locals have also demanded of the Governor and CM of Gilgit – Baltistan to take notice of the situation and order appropriate action.
