Contingents of Pakistan Army deployed in Chitral

CHITRAL: Contingents of Pakistan Army arrived in Chitral today in dozens of Truck with heavy weapons and large amounts of ammunition. Military personnel have started patrolling Chitral town area in armed vehicles.
Source told that more than 70 trucks of Pak Army have reached Chitral with heavy weapons.
An ISPR spokesman confirmed arrival of Pak Army for launching operation clean up against militants and those who have been attacking security forces of Chitral from across the border.
The spokesman of ISPR told this scribe that our military forces are preparing for launching operation against miscreants so as that Chitral could be declared an exemplary peaceful district.
Source said that military persons who were busy in Swat operation have now been moved to Chitral to took charge and control all check posts, pickets, and posts situated on Pak – Afghan border area of Arandu where the paramilitary forces of Chitral Scouts and Border police are already deployed.
It is pertinent to mention here that regular soldiers of Pakistan Army arrived here for the first time after militant attacks on Chitral Scouts and Border Police posts on August 27 this year. More than 37 soldiers had been killed and 9 injured while 2 were injured as a result of the attack. Two people are still missing.
The incident had create fear in the peaceful district which is a major national tourist attraction. The local people had demanding action against the miscreants during a recent visit of Chitral by COAS, General Kayani.
