Muhammad Shiraz of Gulmit passed away

Gulmit, November 12: Muhammad Shiraz, famously known as Shahzoon, passed away today at his ancestral village Gulmit. He was
above 90 years of age. Late Shahzoon was a veteran of Gilgit – Baltistan’s war of independence. He was known for his physical strength and bravery. He had retired earlier from the Gilgit Scouts on personal request.
Late Shahzoon was a renowned player of the traditional tug-of-war game.
He is survived by a large family consisting of his great grand children.
