Mysterious case of the “Tanker accident” solved by Diamer Police

Diamer Police has solved the mysterious case of an Oil Tanker accident on the Karakuram Highway, involving the claimed “loss” of 15,000 litres of Diesel.
According to details, a truck owner had told police in Chilas that his truck (#DR9156) had faced an accident and 15,000 litres of Diesel had been wasated. He blamed the driver for this accident. The police started investigation into the matter under the supervision of ASP Atif Nazir.
According to reports, the police investigation team developed doubts after visiting the accident site, where the truck was found laying in a pool of water. The driver of the truck was arrested and after investigation he revealed that the accident plan had been executed by the truck owner, who had sold the oil in Kohistan area and Chilas and wanted to claim accident insurance for the truck.
The Diamer Police then conducted raids and arrested the truck owner, along with 500,000 rupees of cash obtained through sale of the stolen oil.
IGP Hussain Asghar has, reportedly, appreciated the team that resolved the myestry of fake accident.
