Joint Investigation Team formed for Minhajuddin attack case

Gilgit, February 14: A special Joint Investigation Team has been formed to study and analyze the attack on JUI Information Secretary, Minhajuddin, who survived at leave five bullets the other day.
According to details the investigation team will be led by a DIG rank officer. The team will also have members from civilian intelligence agencies and the interior ministry, according to recently appointed Home Secretary, Dr. Sajid Chauhan.
The team has been tasked to identify the culprits and perpetrators who attacked the important political figure close to JUI Chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
It is pertinent to note that the attack on Minhajuddin had been raised in the national assembly by a JUI legislator. Federal Interior Minister had assured the house that a Joint Investigation Team will be formed to investigate the case.
Meanwhile, thousands of people had also protested in Diamer District, a hub of JUI, to condemn the attack that took place near Khomar locality of Gilgit city, close to the Cantonment area.
