The archaeological sites are endangered because of the proposed Diamer Bhasha dam. Experts and local people have demanded of the government to protect the region’s heritage. Chilas has historically been a gateway to the Indus and Gandhara valley civilization. Buddhist travelers have left their marks on huge rocks, which need immediate attention of organizations concerned with national heritage, culture and history.

  1. For the preservation of Gandhara rock carving arts. In China and Germany there r experts they can replace this kind of Budas and mountain carving arts.
