FM promises funds for creation of administrative divisions, including Shigar and Kharmang District

Islamabad, February 25: The newly appointed federal finance minister (FM), Senator Saleem Maandiwala, has promised the federation’s financial support for creation of administrative divisions in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. He told the GB Chief Minister, Syed Mehdi Shah, who called on him, today that financial support will be provided to the regional government for strengthening of the governance structure.
According to a press statement shared by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the FM has assured that funds will be allocated for creation of Shigar and Kharmang district. He has also assured the CM that funds will be provided for payment of salaries and for development works.
The chief minister apprised Senator Saleem of the difficulties being faced by the Gilgit-Baltistan government.
