Chilas: Injured employee of agriculture department passed away

Gilgit, March 20: An employee of the agriculture and animal husbandry department was injured today in Chilas, the district headuqarters of Diamer, while looking after a rare breed ox in possession of the department. He sustained severe injuries after being hit by the huge bull.

According to details,  Juma Khan, an employee of the department responsible for taking care of the bull was attacked by the ferocious bull in Chilas. He sustained severe injuries in the attack and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, the injuries proved to fatal and Juma Khan lost his life.

The deceased employee was working for the department as a temporary employee for around 30 years. His salary had recently been increased from 3,000 to 6,000 rupees after the passage of three decades.

Juma Khan is survived by his wife and his seven daughters, who are now left without any source of income.

The local people have requested the agriculture and animal husbandry department to take notice of the case and compensate the family of late Juma Khan, because he was killed while performing his duties.

  1. The government should investigate about why his salary was very low in first place ? He worked three decades for Rs-$3000 ????
    I hope his family gets compensated soon and his superiors are Audited starting from the date Late Juma Khan was hired.

  2. The relevant competent authority is requested and expected to compensate the family of this committed hard worker by providing job or through financial aid.
