We will go to any extent to secure China-Pakistan Economic Corridor: Commander FCNA
Chilas: Commander of Force Command Northern Areas (FCNA), Major General Saqib Mehmood Malik has warned that the armed forces will go to any extent to ensure protection of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He has said that external elements are buying loyalties of some local people to conspire against CPEC. Such elements are being watched and their nefarious designs will be foiled and defeated, said the General while addressing a public gathering near Chilas, the headquarters of Diamer District.
The FCNA Commander further said that Gilgit-Baltistan is rich with resources, and therefore enemies of the state of Pakistan are conspiring by trying to fan nationalistic tendencies in the region. He urged the public to reject such elements and use the energy of the youth for constructive purposes.
The General lauded the people of Goharabad for providing 1,000 kanals of land for construction of the Chilas Cadet College.
Chief Minister of Gilgit-Batlistan, Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman, was also present at the occasion.
Later, the two dignitaries visited the under-construction Cadet College Chilas.
The Chief Minister inaugurated a number of development projects during his visit. He also said that Goharabad will soon be made a Tehsil, to facilitate the people.
Win the hearts first. There are many grievances among the masses for nonpayment of land compensations. You could be instrumental in solving this problem as you have the power to compel the concerned to pay the much delayed price.
