Baba Ghundi wins the title of Gilgit Baltistan Girls Football League
HUNZA: Baba Ghundi-Chipurson wins the title of the second season of Gilgit Baltistan Girls Football League (GBGFL) by 4-2.
The game was ended 2-2 heading into a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner.
Minister Works Dr. Muhammad Iqbal announced the construction of playground and link round in order to promote sports activities. He said sport activities were vital to empower girls. Member Gilgit-Baltistan Council Arman Shah and Secretary Tourism were also among the guests.
Over 8 teams and 100 players participated in this this unique event held at the picturesque Passu Valley in Gojal, Upper-Hunza.

The participating teams included Chipurson-Baba Ghundi, Gircha Eagles, Shishkat United, Sost-Nasir Khusraw, Shimshal-Alshams WFC, Khyber Ibex, Passu and Hunza-Himalayan Cougar Club.
The league aims to promote women empowerment through sports activities.
The foundation of the league was laid by two Shimshali sisters Karishma and Sumera Inayat. Karishma has represented Pakistan in the 2016 Jubilee games in Dubai.
This year Peshawar Zalmi and some other sponsors are supporting the league.
