Two boats collide near Shishkat, no major loss reported

Gulmit, April 14: Two commuter boats collided with each other today near Shishkat Payeen while moving towards Gulmit from Attabad lake barrier.

According to an eye witness, Zia, the boats carrying 20 people in total collided and a woman belonging to Hussaini fainted as a result of the impact. Fortunately no serious loss of life or property was reported. According to details one of the boats was carrying 11 men while there were six men and three women in the other boat.

The deputy commissioner of Hunza – Nagar has expressed his shock and displeasure at the accident and, reportedly, ordered an investigation into the accident.
