GB students to get admissions in Punjab medical colleges under old system: Nawaz Sharif

Islamabad, August 5: Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, has said that the revised admission criteria would be waived for students of Gilgit – Baltistan who seek admission in medical colleges of Punjab. He has reportedly said that the percentage required for admission would be lowered from 60 to 40 % to facilitate the 
students. This information was shared with the media by Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman, leader of PML (N) in Gilgit – Baltistan.
Nawaz Sharif has also reportedly promised to visit Gilgit before Ramadan and distribute cheques among the victims of Attabad disaster in a week’s time. He has also assured the regional PML(N) leadership of his support for those affected by the recent rains and floods.
It is pertinent to note here that a group of GB students had protested against revision of the admission requirements in front of the parliament.
Nawaz sharif showed his true color. The announcement of additional seats was just a way to get extra votes during the election. the people knew that before that s why his party was badly defeated in the elections.

I am very thankful to Mr. nawaz Sharif but it will be better if Chief Minister or Education Minister of Punjab give the same statment. I n my view it will be more reliable and relaxing.
