“PPP henchmen trying to swindle relief goods”: Rabita Committee Gojal

PT Report

Gilgit, September 17: The Rabita Committee of Mutasreen-e-Gojal (RCMG) has accused Pakistan Peoples Party workers in Gojal of trying to swindle relief goods sent by Chinese government.

A representative of the committee told Pamir Times on phone that a group of PPP activists wants to store the relief goods at a common place and issue it like monthly ration. He said that by acting as middlemen these people are trying to save goods for their own use.

He demanded that the relief goods be distributed directly among the families instead of storing it at a common place.

The RCMG representative also told Pamir Times that petroleum products received from China are being sold by the district administration and local politicians without taking any measures to ensure transparency in the entire process.

He demanded of the government to put processes in place to ensure transparent handling of the revenues generated through sale of the oil received from China as part of the relief goods.
