3 people injured in Gilgit city firing incident

Gilgit, September 29: Three people were injured in Gilgit city today after unidentified assailants opened fire on a public transportation vehicle.

According to details the SUZUKI vehicle was moving towards Baseen locality of the city when gunshots were fired on it.

The government is conducting a search operation in Gilgit city for the past several weeks to confiscate illegal weapons.

The fresh firing incident is being seen as a reminder for the government and bureaucracy that much more needs to be done to silence the guns.
