Gulmit Edu & Social Welfare Society planning to organize music classes for youth
Gulmit, October 21: The Gulmit Educational and Social Welfare Society, a local development organization, is planning to arrange music classes for the region’s youth, it has been learnt.
Ali Sarwar, a local music enthusiast, at a meeting held today donated a traditional Rubab to the GESWS. It was received by renowned poet and educationist, Nazir Ahmad Bulbul.
A representative of GESWS told Pamir Times that young people in the region have been expressing desire to learn traditional and modern musical instruments. However, due to absences of such a facility, the talents of the youth are being wasted.
It is pertinent to mention here , that GESWS has been working to preserve and promote Wakhi language and cultural, apart from its focus on education and economic development.
