Hunza, November 09: Haider Abbas Rizivi, Deputy Parliamentary Leader of MQM in National Assembly, blamed the government for planning pre-poll rigging through Benazir Income Support Programme. He also blamed the Government for instructing the Returning Officers to not sign the ballot papers. He was addressing a gathering in support of MQM candidate Kamil Jan in Aliabad Hunza. He said MQM has received a record credibility and recognition in GIlgit-Baltistan within six months. Altaf Hussain is the right leader and MQM is the right platform in order to fight for the rights of the oppressed people of Gilgit-Baltistan, he added. He said the 25 MNAs and 6 Senators of MQM will raise voices for the rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said that time has proved that the anti-Pakistan allegation on MQM was just conspiracies. MQM will establish its institutional mechanism in Hunza after the election, he said.
Kamil Jan, the ticketholder of MQM while criticising the former educated representatives of Hunza said that although he don’t has any educational degrees but his honesty and service for humanity gives him the advantage. He said the youth of Hunza has laid the foundation for a real revolution.
Those who spoke the occasion included Yousif Munir Sheikh, former MPA from Karachi, Yawar Jamil; Joint Incharge Provincial Committee, Hidayat Ali, Incharge Election Cell, Naiknam, Ghulam Abbas and Ali Qurban.
Let us believe your words that it is a conspiracy, but what should we do about the wordings of Mr. Altaf Hussain who called the division of the sub-continent the greatest blunder of the history of the main kind… is there any explanation for this…

It seems as if Mr. Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are the only true national leaders who visited Hunza. They didn’t send some federal ministers in their place.

Haider Abbas Rizivi, Deputy Parliamentary Leader of MQM in National Assembly promised that they will use their influence in the parliament in a democratic way to give Hunza seat in the upper house and house of common. Education is the key of change of any society but in the University of Karachi the chancellor restricted to give admission for the Gilgit Baltistan students it is the shocking step taken by the University administration toward the youth of the area while seat is the right of Huzna people it can achieve in the Gilgit Balistan assembly. Rizivi did not mention this issue in his speech so therefore KIU chancellor might review their decision about the admission policy.

If we were one nation today, we wouldn’t have been a backward society. Let me tell you that all regions are equally important, however, Hunza being at the border with China, we have a bit more importance of course. We’d our educated people tried there, and the result was, Mir sahib’s son, Mir Saleem Khan very much acted like a STREET THUG OF LAHORE, especially when the issue of Sost Dry Port had arisen, he’s a foreign graduate (correct me if I’m wrong). We tried Nazir Sabir sahib, whom prided himself for not withdrawing his salary and other allowances (I wish he had withdrawn those funds and contributed by paying fees of the poor people). When workers and general mass went to his doors, he’d return them by saying he’s not available (sure, if raided, he’d have been found in his office or home). We tried Wazir Sahib, who on loosing elections never returned back to Hunza. He was not in Hunza until he’s party ticket was awarded, he showed his back on loosing. Are they the leaders? If your perception of a leader is this, I’m sorry but you highly disappoint me my dear. I’d hesitate to call you an educated person.
Talking about our uneducated leader, I repeat again (though I’ve stated above as well), he’s going to be guided by mature and educated people who have western exposure (educated in Europe) as well. On top of that, my favor goes MQM for following reasons.
01- They represent middle class, lower middle class and poor mass.
02- They talk for the political rights of Gilgit Baltistan, unlike PPP, PML-N and PML-Q (who are not ready to separate us from Kashmir). MQM on all possible forums has started to fight to make GB 5th province of Pakistan along with seats in NA as well as Senate.
03- The development work carried out by MQM in Karachi can’t be matched with any other cities except for Islamabad (thanks to Karaman Lashari, the ex-chairman of CDA, who later on butchered by Zaradari to bring another man who brided Zardari for chairmanship).
04- They are a democratic party, where democracy belongs to grass root mass.
05- There are no feudal lords, wadaras, chaudries and greedy businessmen in this party.
I agree, burusho are very biased, they’d not support a brother or a sister from Gojal or Shinaki. And I hate this thing about ourselves. This might hurt burushaski speaking people but that’s true, I’m a burusho too. I always appreciate the professionalism that our Gojali brothers and sisters have can’t be compared with anyone else in Hunza, and it’s because of them that Hunza is called 96% educated.
