HUNZA, Feb 26: The Deputy Commissioner Hunza, Zafar Waqar Taj assured a delegation of Gojal, who met him in his office in Karimabad Hunza, that supply of flour, fuel and other essential items would be started soon. He said three boats, with the capacity to lift about 20 tonne each, reached Hunza on Friday which will be used to transport the required food and non food items to Gojal.
He said work is in progress to make breach on Hunza river which will take time due to the volume of the debris. He appealed to the people to remain peaceful and help the authorities during this hard time.
The delegation showed their angers over manhandling of the peaceful protestors of Gojal in Gilgit city. They demanded to increase the duration of work and number of machinery to avoid losses to the people upstream.
This is good news.Thank you. By sunday Shisket bridge will submerge in river. These boats will be much help. Please stock up food and supplies also as people of Gojal have to brave this natural disaster. Allah will help us .
Good news but let me correct you Zafer Waqar Taj is Deputy Commessioner of Hunza-Nagar
I think this is not enough employing three more boats.Government should take major steps to resolve this problem compeletly.
May allah bless us(Ameen)
