Rash Khan’s appointment as DG PARC illegal, Public Accounts Committee told

Islamabad, October 28: The public accounts committee has expressed severe concerns over alleged cases of nepotism and illegal appointments at the office of Pakistan Agriculture Research Council, Gilgit – Baltistan. According to reports the PAC was told that appointment of Rash Khan as Director General of the PARC is illegal because the required procedures were not followed while hiring him.

The Accounts Committee was also that DG Rash Khan of PARC has illegally employed his brother in law, Fareed Ullah, and nephew, Shamshad, at his office. Assistant director Abdullah Sami also hired his brother Muhammad Niaz Sami while Assistant Director Sameera Hussain’s sister, Samina Hussain, was also provided a job at the public office, without following due procedures.

The PAC was also told that CM Gilgit – Baltistan has already raised the issue of illegal appointments with PM Gilani and federal minister for food and agriculture.
