GISAK strategizing for the decades to come, consultative session held in Karachi

Karachi, December 25: A consultative session was organized by the Gojal Ismaili Students Association Karachi (GISAK) to get inputs for development of strategies for the years ahead.
The consultative session was conducted by PhD scholar, Ms. Parveen Roy – AKU (IED) and Mr. Muhammad Ali, M.Ed (AKU-IED).
During the session the participants were divided into six groups for detailed discussions on different futuristic themes and ideas. A total of 47 male and female Karachi based students from Gojal participated in the session. Mr. Rahim Khan M.Ed (AKU-IED), Ms. Reshma Ali (Vice principal of AKHSS – Karachi and Ms. Marina Begum (AKU-IED) facilitated the group discussions and activities.
It is pertinent to note that all the facilitators belong to Gojal Valley and had offered their services voluntarily.
The program had started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, performed by Qari Mehrban Ali. A representative of the Ismaili Regional Council for Sindh and Baluchistan, Mr. Shaheen Premani, was chief guest during the session. In his speech Mr. Premani praised GISAK’s leadership and members for taking important steps towards realization of organizational potentials and goals.
Chairman of GISAK, Mr. Karim Ali Bahadur, had earlier briefed the session about activities and plans of his organization, as well as objectives of the consultative session. He also briefed the participants about upcoming skills development training being conducted with the help of AKES and AKEPB.
The formation of a strategic committee was agreed during the session, responsible for providing guidelines and resources for further development of GISAK.
Is it interesting to note that the youngest participant of the session was Master Alyan Muhammad Ali. He stayed in the session all the day.
Towards the end Miss Farzana, vice – chair of GISAK, thanked the participants for attending the session.

Congrats- for the session. We are really interest in the out come and way forward. How we link WATCA-GECA and GISAK. The main prob- is financial for the present and coming student because the expenses of education are growing rapidly. All of us have to think and plan not for a year or two, but AT least 25 to 50 years. We have to think on it on donors with interest and without interest AND IF AGREES WE HAVE TO ASK OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO CREATE SUCH A FUND ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION WITH THE NOMINIAL INTERSEST RATES.

A wonderful and quality mission to work for a great motive.I appreciate the struggles of GISAK for your rightminded emotions. Thank you very much Baig Ali Bhai for your senseful and concretive feedback about the GISAK’s consultative session. I agree you, that we start associations which has either politicking for individual or for a specific village or group. But we do not have the power of sustainability for such associations.I would also ask the same questions from the GISAK members. I would also ask the executive member to share a presentation about their association’s structure(Who is who and what is what?). Once again thank you for your nice initiation.
Dear Karim & Team, it’s wonderful to see how you have been struggling to engage our youth in different programs. It’s appreciable and we hope you will not lose this spirit, dedication, positive behavior as progressive social agents.
It sounds significant to engage human beings together at a platform for different performances because it helps to have human connectivity to develop positive relationships among human beings that encourage respect, tolerance, patience and positive behaviors, which leads to peace building or sustaining peace in societies.
We are lucky that majorities of the people have developed their capacity through different exposures from the AKDN institutions as well as Government and other national and international NGOs. Now it’s the time to collaborate with each other, create something new and demonstrate creativities according to the situation and context.
These are the leaders of today and tomorrow. We are all proud of them and need to appreciate and encourage their efforts. It was the dream of our beloved leader Mr. Jinnah, who always gave emphasis and importance to youth development. It’s good that you are strengthening that vision. Please, keep up your good efforts.
However, I learned in my career, whenever, any constructive or developmental work was disseminated with the nigger audience, an opponent force has always discouraged the efforts but I also learned that challenges are part of life so face it, have faith in it and stand for it because you know you are contributing for a positive change in the society. Excellent, (both girls & boys) & wish you a Happy New Year with more successes and joys of achievements. Good luck.
