Gilgit – One killed, two injured, in fresh violence

GILGIT, January 16: A fresh wave of violence in the capital of Gilgit – Baltistan has left two people injured and one dead.
According to details Information Secretary of PML (N), Jafar Ullah Khan, and Kamal Khan, a resident of Konodas, received bullet injuries in firing by unidentified persons. Another victim of the fresh wave of violence has been identified as Nageen, a shopkeeper from the Punial Road locality of Gilgit city.
The city has been going through disruption of law and order due to random firing incidents during the past two weeks.
Public circles have expressed serious concerns over deterioration of peace and security.
What is happening in Pakistan ? Is police or the law enforcing authorities so helpless ?
