GB Election Commission announces election schedule for LA 19, Ghizar 1
27,834 listed voters to elect their leader on March 28

Gilgit, February 15: The Election Commission of Gilgit – Baltistan has announced election schedule for LA – 19, Ghizar -1, the seat that fell vacant due to appointment of ex-MLA Pir Karam Ali Shah as Governor of Gilgit – Baltistan.
According to a notification issued here, Civil Judge Suhail has been appointed as Returning Officer while Tehsildar Dildar Ahmed has been appointed as Assistant polling officer.
Out of the total registered voters who would poll on March 28, 14384 are men while 13450 are women.
It is pertinent to note that Supreme Leader of the Balawaristan National Front (BNF), Nawaz Khan Naji, has prayed to the Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit – Baltistan to declare him winner on the seat.

the number of registered was same in the 2009 general elections? If yeah, this area had a darn good voters’ turn out back then, above 50%
Why BNF leadership is not contesting the elections according to SOPs already in place?? Hmm I guess these guyz ran out of money and unable to launch a strong campaign, they did in last election. Lols.
Request to the youth of the area to not be aggressive for the election, this is the lobby of the govt to make the youth of the area extremist. but i am afraid about the new battle…. election more like a battle indeed
I think you guys are getting too normal the upcoming election is GBLA 19. I am afraid about the result of this election. All of us are aware that in last election one worker of BNF was shaheed by the state machinery and the peoples of Punial ishkoman made historic protest. After Pir Karam Ali shah nawaz naji the chief of BNF is the strongest candidate . If government try to stop him through their tech tics may be te ghizer will be the battle field . The youth and educated peoples are supporting Mr naji.If Naji decide to take part in election the peoples are ready to support him morally as well as financially. Now the game is in the hand of naji and his team wait and see what they decide….?. According to the non official result naji won the election with a good margin in last election but ppp govt make huddles for him. May be the courts decide to give stay against the upcoming election because naji is in court. The coming 5 days are important. Let as wait and see.
