Academicians to be part of next GB annual education plan: Speaker GBLA
GILGIT, May 16: (PR) Teachers play a very important role in building character of the students, apart from imparting skills and knowledge. Future generations depend on teachers for development.
These views were expressed by GBLA Speaker, Wazir Baig, while speaking during the oath taking ceremony of Gilgit – Baltistan Professors Association (GBPA).
Speaker Baig further said that the nations that fail to uphold merit in their day to day life are doomed to fail in the long run.
He also administered the oath of office to GBPA leaders, including Professor Owais Ahmed, President, Professor Mohammad Hassan Dilshad, Senior Vice President, Professor Rahat Shah, General Secretary, Professor Mohammad Rafi, Finance Secretary, and Professor Ishtiqar Ahmed Yaad, Press and Publications Secretary.
Wazir Baig congratulated the office bearers of GBPA for taking the responsibilities.
Speaking at the occasion, the newly appointed President of GBPA, Professor Owais, said that the basic objective of GBPA is not only to work for safeguarding interests of the professors, but also to find ways and ideas for character building of students and taking part in the overall development of Gilgit – Baltistan. Former President, Professor Najmuddin, Professor Anwar and Professor Bashir also spoke at the occasion.
The oath taking was attended by GBLA Technocrat Member, Mutabiat Shah, representatives of Teachers’ Association, as well as lecturers and professors of various colleges.
