Peshawar High Court Chief Justice visits Chitral, inaugurates Judicial Complex

CHITRAL: Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Ajaz Afzal, visited Chitral and inspected different lower courts at Chitral. The learned judge also inaugurated the Judicial Complex. Later on the chief Justice came to town Hall where a large number of lawyers and judicial staff welcomed him.

Senior Lawyer of Chitral, Sahib Nadir Advocate, presented traditional gift of Chugha (cloak) and Cap to the Chief Justice as well as to Musaddiq Hussain Gilani Registrar of Peshawar High Court. The chief justice also administered oath in an oath taking ceremony from newly elected cabinet of District Bar Association of Chitral.

Chief justice Ajaz Ahmad Khan thanked lawyers for supporting of judiciary (Judges) when they were deposed and termed that bench and bar have close relation. He said that lawyers’ movement awakened a slept nation and a positive revolution was brought on mass level. He stressed upon the judges of lower courts and on lawyers to must fulfill all requirements for justice because Quran also teaching us imposing of equality and justice and even that ever your enemy lest provoke you on injustice. He emphasized for supporting and assisting courts for implementing of Justice. He announced for construction of a judicial complex in Chitral. He also appreciated role of media that play vital role in awaking and awareness of masses. He announced of Banking Court, Service Tribunal, Special Court for registry as well as Circuit bench and separate arrangement for ladies lawyers. He also announced that he will strongly recommend representative from Chitral in high court and other judiciary.

He also announced appointment of Nizamuddin Advocate as permanent oath commissioner. He also assured for taking notice and writ petition about a missing person from Chitral. The chief Justice also assured that he will try of his best for completion of Lawari tunnel.

In his welcome address Ghulam Hazrat Inqilabi advocate president of DBA Chitral thanked chief justice on his visit to Chitral and solving problems of lawyers of Chitral. He said that on his special directive two court rooms have been completed in a short period but due to less number of criminal and other cases majority of lawyers would be jobless he feared. He demanded for some relaxation for Chitral lawyers in NGPO Nizami Adal system. He demanded for opening of Banking, Anti Corruption courts, Service Tribunal, other courts in the district. He criticized construction of judicial building that made without proper map and designing.

He demanded for a circuit bench at least at Chakdara to benefit people of the surrounding area.  He demanded for fixing of tenure of 2 years for non local judges at Chitral because due to long period at Chitral they facing great problems. He said that there is no representative in high court from Chitral and less number in judiciary. He demanded of  compensation for  Nizamuddin Advocate who handicapped in a bomb blast. An appeal was also submitted to Chief Justice by a child regarding missing of his father. A large number of lawyers, judges were present on the occasion.
