MWM to organize Difa-e-Watan Convention in Gilgit
Gilgit, October 31: Majlis-e-Wehdatul Mslimeen (MWM), a mainstream religio-political party, will organize a “Difa-e-Watan Convention”, in Gilgit on the 3rd of November, two days after GB celebrates its independence day.
This was stated by Muhammad Amin Mashhadi, the Central Deputy Secretary of MWM, at a conference here today. He said that leaders and public from all segments of the society will be brought under one platform during the convention which, he hoped, will pave way for durable peace in the region.
He said that non-local and foreign agents were making the people fight, which can be stopped by promoting unity and harmony. He said that the writ of the government and state should be established at any cost, to save the country from destruction. He also opposed “negotiations with terrorists”, urging the government to step up the fight, “like in Iran and Syria”.
He also said that jail-break incidents in which hundreds of prisoners are freed is a question mark on the performance of the government and it leads to more chaos in the country.
