Gilgit, November 4: The rights of Gilgit-Baltistan’s residents are being violated in an unprecedented manner. Leaders of the country are having dictatorial approach and a handful of miscreants are responsible for the bloodshed in the country.
These were some of the views expressed by Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Chairman of the Sunni Ittedah Council, today at a press conference held here in Gilgit. He said that the government has failed to protect the lives and honor of the citizens, while anti-Pakistan elements are busy fanning hatred and fueling mistrust. He also loathed the government for bowing down in front of militants. He further added that the Sunni Ittehad Council is against gun-culture and follower of the Sufi traditions of Islam.
He also said that the Sunni Ittehad Council will raise voice for the constitutional rights of Gilgit-Baltistan, making it a part of the party’s manifesto.
