Injured Kashmir Markhor visits Chitral town, under treatment at hospital

Chitral, December 14: An injured Kashmir Markhor, with broken legs and fractures in its back, had been captured some days back in Chitral Town. It had come to the town from the nearby mountains.
Unable to move, the animal was captured by the local residents. It is now under treatment at the Wild Life Department’s hospital in Chitral.
Divisional Forest Officer Chitral Imtiaz Hussain Lal said that the Markhor will be released in the wild after treatment and healing.
Well done and thanks to those who brought it to Chitral. and to the doctor/staff etc at the wild life hospital for taking due care of the injured animal.
