GBDMA gets 4.6 million rupees for flood affectees of Sosat and Dalnati (Ghizer)
Islamabad, June 02: (APP) The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan is taking number of steps for the rehabilitation of affected people of natural disasters occurred in Gilgit Baltistan and AJK.
An official of the ministry told APP that the cases regarding rehabilitation or compensation were in pipeline while the two cases of District Ghizer were approved and funds were placed at the disposal of Gilgit Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA).
In district Ghizer, two villages namely Dalnati and Sosat were badly affected due to flash floods during the last year and destroyed 19 houses besides loss of prosperity and trees.
The GB government has approved a sum of Rs. 4.667 million for the affectees regarding reconstruction and compensation as per approved policy of the ministry.
