Chitral: Inauguration Ceremony of the newly built campus of BSS Kosht held
Chitral: The journey of a thousand miles begins with a sing step. It was only two years ago that BSS Kosht was established. The management had informed the gathering that BSS will have its own purposefully built campus. The word was kept and the day came when the people of Kosht and adjoining areas saw the newly erected beautiful building was inaugurated on December 15, 2014. In order to mark this historical day, the BSS organized a simple yet elegant function in the premises wherein the local intelligential along with students, parents and local elders participated. The function was presided over by renowned educationist-the founder and Principal of Islamia Model School Mr. Saad Roomi. Mr. Aman Ullah Khan a well-known pedagogue, the Vice Principal of the Govt High School Kosht was the guest of honor. The function started with the formal inauguration of the college premises by cutting a ribbon by the chief guest.
After the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Mr. Mustansir Ud Din Director Community Development BSS welcomed the guests. He appreciated the participants for their presence. The welcome speech was followed by a brief introduction and performance description of BSS given by its Principal Mr. Ehsan Ullah.He also shared with the audience the aims and objectives behind establishing BSS Kosht which is to provide state of the art quality education at the college level to the students of Kosht, Morder and the adjoining areas. Speaking on the occasion he said that the MD and Chairman Mr. Adnan Zain who is also a prominent social worker of the area, had long been thinking of establishing this college keeping in mind the needs of the area. The dream did only come true when BSS was actually started on August 14, 2012.
Speaking on the occasion the Director Academic Development BSS, Mr. Noor Ul Saba-another committed educationist from the area conveyed MD’s message. He said that, the vision of BSS is to make Kosht-Morder a model village. He further said that, BSS was striving to provide equal opportunity to both male and female students to avail quality education at their doorstep with affordable cost and peace of mind for the parents. He added that BSS is committed to provide the facility to the students and faculty members to enhance their professional knowledge and skills.
Miss Kulsoom (faculty member) expressed her views and told the audience that, she was proud of BSS and their students because of their positive attitude toward studies. She hoped that if proper facilities were in place and students were working hard and parents were playing their due role then, BSS would come up to the expectations of the community and the management.
Mr. Saad Roomi in his presidential address thanked all the guests as being part of BSS family. He stressed upon the faculty members that, they must work hard with dedication and honesty of purpose. He reiterated the need of maintaining the brilliant results which the BSS has been showing since its inception.
Mr. Aman Ullah Khan, the guest of honor applauded the BSS management and said that it is a blessing upon us and our children that today they are acquiring quality education at their doorstep at affordable cost. He was of the view that there were four important things which were essential for the success of any educational institution. Those were competent faculty members, use of modern techniques, well equipped library, and modern laboratory. He said that as per the plans shared with him, all these facilities will be provided to the school sooner than later. He said that once fully equipped the college will have no match.
At the end, Mr. Naman Zain Ul Abidin, the Administrator of BSS Kosht thanked the audience. He expressed his profound gratitude to all those who came there to grace the occasion. He also humbly thanked all and sundry who had been part of this project as active members of the team or as well-wishers. He said that without their support not a single step could have been taken. He urged them all to extend their outstanding support to BSS as they have been doing before in order to guide the management and rectify errors in the system with a common goal of making the institution the best learning destination for the children. The function was concluded with Dua by respectable Muhammad Sharif and refreshment for the participants.
