15 death row prisoners in Gilgit-Baltistan

Islamabad: Fifteen prisoners are waiting for the gallows in Gilgit-Baltistan. This was revealed in a recent report which puts the total number of death-row prisoners in the country at 7,135. The highest number of death-row prisoners are in Punjab (6,424), followed by Sindh (355), KPK (183) and Baluchistan (79).

The statistics were provided by the federal government in the supreme court yesterday in response to an application filed for the same.
