Anti-Tax drive launched in Gilgit-Baltistan, strike called on 14th January
Gilgit: An alliance of various trade groups and political and social organizations has announced the launching of an anti-tax drive in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Launching of the drive was announced today during a press conference here.
Addressing a joint press conference, representatives of the various organizations said that they do not accept and will resist the imposition of withholding, income and other taxes in the GB region. They said that the GB region is disputed and the government cannot impose tax in the region without resolving the constitutional issue.
