Ghizer Police announces arrest of Farooq, main accused in Didar Hussain rape and murder case
GAHKUCH: Ghizer Police has announced that the main accused, Farooq, was arrested in Kohistan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
Ghizer’s Senior Superintendent of Police Sultan Faisal has said that the two remaining people accused of involvement in the abduction, gang rape and murder of Didar Hussain have been arrested. He said that one Abdul Manan was arrested on Sunday near Gahkuch, while Farooq was arrested in Kohistan.
Farooq has reportedly been shifted to the “investigation wing” in Gilgit, according to information shared by Ghizer’s SSP.
With these arrests the total number of people arrested in the case has risen to 10. Didar’s father had expressed dissastisfaction with the investigation of Police and demanded formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT). He had also nominated Manan and Farooq as the two ‘master minds’.
