UCA organizing International Conference on Digital Transformation in Central Asia

BISHKEK: (PR) The first annual International Conference on Digital Transformation in Central Asia will be held in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, from October 4th to 6th 2019, as informed by the University of Central Asia and the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic.

There is no escaping the digital transformation taking place over the past three decades, and the growing sophistication of the cell phone is a constant reminder of this new reality. It impacts every aspect of our lives – at home and work. There is increasing recognition that technology can also level the playing field for emerging economies with their asymmetrical resources, as they vie for business in an ever-increasing global competition. With technology advancing at an unprecedented rate, how should Central Asia engage with this digital transformation?

The Conference will be an important gathering of Chief Information Officers and IT leaders in Central Asia. It will provide opportunities for technology professionals, government officials, educators, and researchers to meet and discuss the latest approaches to solving intriguing challenges in the fields of data collection and analysis, digitising government services, management (public and private), cyber security, and the increasing role of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in education and research.

This conference will provide Information Technology leaders the opportunity to connect with over a hundred Chief Information Officers from within Central Asia and overseas, in both the government and private sectors. Besides providing an unprecedented opportunity for networking with the best minds in the business, the presence of representatives from companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, and SAP, as well as Telecommunications, Mining, and Energy fields in Central Asia, provide a window into the depth of expected dialogue and discussion.
