[PT Discuss] Future of “RISE HUNZA”
Pamir Times had initiated a facebook cause to join hands with and support the cause of All Hunza Action Committee. Many friends joined us in the cause from Shinaki, Kunjut (Hunzo) and Gojal, to invite more and more people. As of today the number of people who joined the cause is 622.
Stated objectives of the cause were;
- Increased representation in GBLA
- Restoration of additional district status of Hunza
- Distribution of public funds on basis of population and area
- Supermacy of merit and justice
In the changed political situation where AHAC seems to be irrelevant, we invite the people of 
Hunza to suggest a future strategy.
Shall this cause die? Shall it continue? How can we make it more effective? if it is to continue, how can we take it into the valley, close to the people who live in the shadow of those mighty mountains!!
Would any candidate for the GBLA election be ready to create an institution out of this cause for advocacy of civil rights for the people of Hunza?
Let’s suggest solutions.
The Hunza State demolished, last in a series, by ZAB, the founder of PPP and the then Prime minister of Pakistan,as a result of a popular movement against the ruler and the ruling system, in 19 74 along with others in the GB Region that was/ is not part, constitutionally, of Pakistan. Thus we lost the State and the status both. The said popular movement, mostly supporters of the PPP and others were not able to foresee and bargain the post-demolition status of the region as others in other regions of Gilgit-Baltistan. This was a game started by three empires–the British, the Russians and the Afghan in 1892 in the form of the Durand Line (not renewed in 1992 and has thus became in-effective since as was a pact for a hundred years). The authorities of our beloved host-country Pakistan, since the time of MA Jinnah, successfully continued this game during the last sixty-one years. In this connection the movement ‘ Rise Hunza’ is not, in my view, un-related but not covers the whole political canvas of the issue. Struggling for the status of the additional District status or an additional seat in GBLA is a good reason but we the people of Hunza and the whole region of Gilgit-Baltistan need to rise for our basic human right of self governance, at least, in any situation of the governance under the State of Pakistan or other wise. The inception of the said HAC could not be an appropriate forum or movement to tackle/address the the issue long due. We need a strong political initiative by the people of Hunza and the whole region of Gilgit -Baltistan.
i think it may not be possible to contribute to rise of hunza so long as people of hunza are divided on ethnic and narrow regional lines. it is further suggested that majority of inhabitants of hunza do prefer to live in southern cities and send their advices than being in their area to participate in real time politics and socieital activities. they are not ready to quit the lavish lifestyle of cities and as such their participation in regional affairs has become nominal. If they are sincere to their land they must show up optimum presence in spheres of economy, society and politics. living in diaspora may have strenghts but regional politics and polity demand that one must feel the gravity of injustices and discriminations so that solutions thereto can be sought.

We better Stop Everything what we are doing.its not the objectives what Hunza Rise has set the steps to work for the cause “” Rise Hunza”” This is bringing more corruptions and Hatred amongst all our Gilgit & Baltistan,You know why becouse no one here is SINCERE PERSON FOR PAKISTAN AND FOR THE CAUSE RISE HUNZA?
