The Shimshal Mountaineering School is organizing a double-header women winter expedition, which will be the first Pakistani Double-Header women winter expedition to Mangligh sar and Valyoo Sar.
The team comprises of seven women, including Dur Begum, Farzana Faisal, Takat Bika, Shakeela Numa, Merah Jabeen, Gohar Nigar and Hafiza Bano. Veteran mountaineer Qudrat Ali will lead the expedition, who is also a co-founder of the Shimshal Mountaineering School, Shaheen Baig being the other founder.
All these alpinist women are well trained and have a vast technical experience. Two. Farzana Fasial and Dur Begum, have already scaled 6000ers.
The first double-header Women Expedition will kick off on December 25 towards Mangligh Sar(6050m) and Valyoo Sar (6030m).
