Two groups clash at Drosh, police registers case

CHITRAL:  One person was injured during a quarrel between two groups at a village called Drosh, 45 km away from Chitral town.

According to the SHO Police Station Drosh, Irshad Alam son of Ashraf Nazir along with his group and Kashif Jamal son of Qari Jamal Nasir and his group were busy for the last few days pasting provocative publications against each other.

The groups attacked each other on Friday with Pistols and sticks and as a result a person was injured.

According to police source Kashif Jamal along with 12 supporters attacked Irshad Alam and injured him. The Drosh police have registered a case under 147, 148, 149 of Pakistan Panel Code and 506, 16 Maintenance of Public Order (16MPO) against both parties along with their supporters. Investigation is under way.
