Muhammad Azam appointed as Registrar, Supreme Appellate Court, Gilgit-Baltistan
Gilgit: (PR) Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dr. Rana Muhammad Shamim, Chief Judge, Supreme Appellate Court, Gilgit-Baltistan has appointed Mr. Mohammad Azam, former Federal Secretary (Information) as Registrar, Supreme Appellate Court, Gilgit-Baltistan, according to a press release received today.
Mr. Azam has a rich experience of service at various positions in Government of Pakistan and has served for a total period of 34 years. He is an MSc and a foreign qualified and has obtained various certificates from foreign reputed Universities and Educational Institutions. He has also taken Training Sessions from national and international institutions and has good command over administration and other official affairs of an institution. He has also served as Registrar, Press Council of Pakistan which is a regulatory authority of Print Media.
As Federal Secretary he was also responsible for overall Formulation and Implementation of Policy, Administration, Planning, Human Resource Management, Budget and Financial Management, Public Relations and enforcement of Rules and Regulations in the Ministry of I,B & NH and its departments/Corporations including Pakistan Television and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). He was also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC), Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), Associated Press of Pakistan and Shalimar Recording & Broadcasting Corporation (SRBC). He also has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), LokVirsa, Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Frequency Allocation Board (FAB), Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Virtual University and National College of Arts.
