CM Gilgit-Baltistan’s degree challenged in Supreme Appellate Court
GILGIT: Jamil Ahmad, PPP’s Senior Vice President and electoral rival of the GB Chief Minister, has approached the Supreme Appellate Court o Gilgit-Baltistan claiming that the degree of the Chief Minister is fake.
Jamil Ahmad, who was Deputy Speaker of GBLA during the last government, has maintained that as an alleged fake-degree holder, the Chief Minister stands disqualified, and the court should remove him.
The Court has advised Ahmad’s lawyer, Advocate Kifayat-ur-Rehman to amend the petition and make Wafaq-al-Madaris, or the federation of the Madressahs, as a party in the case.
Advocate Rehman has said that the edited documents will presented in the case again after Eid.
