Three days of mourning in Gilgit-Baltistan over Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s death

GILGIT: The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan has announced that a three-day mourning period will be observed in the region over the death of imprisoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s wife.
Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who led a resistance movement against dictator Pervez Musharraf, passed away in London, where she was under treatment for cancer.
The husband and wife of the deceased former first-lady are in jail, after being convicted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for possessing properties worth more than their stated, known, income.
