CM seeks report on alleged abduction and rape of teenage girl in Gilgit
GILGIT: Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman has instructed the Inspector General of Police Gilgit-Baltistan to submit a report about the alleged abduction and rape of a teenage girl in Gilgit.
According to a note issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the IGP has been directed to investigate reports about the alleged rape of a teenage girl who was reportedly brought to the District Headquarters Hospital Gigit for medical check-up.
A news about the incident has been making rounds on social media, prompting the instruction of the Chief Minister.
Other unverified reports maintain that a 13-year-old girl (identity withheld) was reportedly abducted, raped and then dumped at the hospital. The name of an alleged abuser is also making rounds, but details of the report are yet unverified.
