Mukhi Gul Aman passed away in Gulmit
Gulmit, July 27: Mukhi Gul Aman passed away in Gulmit, this morning. His body was laid to rest in the presence of thousands of relatives, family members and people from the nearby villages.
He was recently reappointed Mukhi of Dalgiram Jamat in Gulmit, Gojal.
We extend our deepest condolence to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul.

Late uncle Gul Aman was a personality with a very strong character. A man of high moral standing and integrity he was loved and respected widely. Being a very easy going person, people always felt comfortable in his company and all enjoyed that delicate sense of humour he possessed. We all will miss him dearly.

This is the reality of a soul imprison in the cage (body) cut from its orgin, the spiritual world, that searches to return to its origin, sooner or later.
All human beings rather all biodiversities go through this natural process.

Mukhi Gul Aman – the gem of a person is no more with us, so sad indeed. His untimely demise would definitely be mourned across the Gojal valley, in particular. When I met him last time at his place on 3rd July 2009, he was unwell, but with full of spirits as usual. Both of us were in the same class in 1953 and had a group of our own in Gulmit in those good old days; sharing a lot together. Gul was a very brave, courageous man and well spirited sportsman; always cheerful, helpful, and a complete religious devotee.
Even on the journey to his final abode in the heavens, Gul showed his true sense of caring for others – he set out on his final journey only when the Salgirah celebrations and 6 wedding ceremonies in Gulmit were well over this July; he did not want to disrupt celebrations.
One can only pray that Allah the almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and bestow the entire immediate family members, particularly his sons, brothers and sisters with patience and strength to endure this irreparable loss (Ameen).

Mukhi Gul Aman was loved by each and every one in Gulmit. He was very kind to every one. Mostly he spent his time with the younger generation due to his interest in sports. He encouraged the youth to take part in sports and social work. During his bed rest I got him very positive, courageous, and cooperative to his family.
