It is a sad fact that our leaders and administration didn’t come upto the expectations of the affected people of Gojal. But the given idea is good and could be lucrative. The lake is here to stay even how much the dam is reduced. I think not only this idea but also other ideas should also be brought to practice. Tax should be levied on traders who use the very lake for transaction of goods.The collected revenue must be spend totally on the welfare of Gojal, as only the people Gojal have lost their land and properties. The lake can be made as a tourist point of view.
Lets see how much our leaders care for the people of people of Gojal.
Well truly speaking the Hunza lake is already a fish hatchery,(not only fish hatchery but crocodile hatchery), it has already produced many fishermen of different sizes and qualities. Many people fish many things out of this disaster, and the biggest of All is FWO, God knows what are the doing there, where do all the equipment and material go, how have they used all the resources and the government funds allocated for the release of the hunza dame. The next category of fishermen are the ones who despite losing nothing (directly) but have received cheques and the compensations. There should be an independent investigation and audit how the relief was distributed and used, how many little fishes were eaten by the big ones. And now what is the Wale fish trying to fish out of this idea of making it a fish hatchery.
it is unlikely that our corrupt government will take steps to decrease the depth of lake. The govt should steps atleast to build KKH’s portion which has been swallowed by lake. i think the lake is the destiny of gojal. it should be used for the benefit of the local people. fishery is a profitable business, it may help improve the economic condition of local people.
