Chinese tourists explore adventure tourism opportunities in Hunza Valley
For the last two years, a group of Chinese tourists and tour operators is visiting Hunza to explore the potentials of promoting adventure tourism in the region.
Last year, they rode horses from Sost to Karimabad, rafted in the Hunza River, and also visited Chipursan Valley.
This year, they are rafting in the Hunza River in the Gojal Valley area for the last two days.
Hunza District of Gilgit-Baltistan region shares direct border with China. The 15,000 plus feet high Khunzhrav Pass is visited by tens of thousands of Chinese tourists every year. If these Chinese tourists are allowed temporary passes to enter GB, the region’s tourism industry, and the economy, can get a great boost.
