Gilgit: The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi (AKUH) opened its first laboratory and specimen collection center of the region in Col. Hassan Market of Gilgit city. Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Chief Executive of NALA, was the chief guest of the opening ceremony.
The extensive laboratory network, currently with 207 laboratory specimen collection units, provides accessibility to high-quality laboratory services for the people in different cities of Pakistan and, now, in Gilgit – Baltistan.
The step will make it convenient for physicians and their patients to benefit from the world class testing facilities offered by the Asia’s leading university hospital.
This initiative in the mountainous region opens a new chapter in provision of health services for the regions’ human beings. The step is being highly praised by all public circles.
It is a step of improvement in health sector in Northern Areas.
Govt is already lacking stander facilities for poor patients especially. We people of Areas pay our regards to AKUH and its its managment for their efforts under supervision of Abdul Hakim sahab. Being a son of this sacred land Abdul Hakim sahab ensure subsidy rates for poor patients.
Our experience with other collection center of AKUH in other cities is good enough expensive.Or government should offer subsidy in this regard for poors.
congurlation to all the people of Gilgit, now they have to not come
karacki or at another place for their treatment, it is a very good step of AKUH to devlope collecting point at gilgit, i hope it will use fill for the people of Gilgit.
thanhs.
