"Don't fire plastic projectiles", PMLN leader tells CM
All parties conference participants demand more action, less words
PT Report
Gilgit, January 21: Leaders and workers of eight political parties attended a conference called by the GB government, in the wake of target killings in Gilgit city.
PMLN Chief Organizer, Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman, put the blame on lack of resources, more than anything. He said that the police force in Gilgit is smaller in number and under equipped. He also drew comparisons between different parts of GB to show that in view of the law and order situation more resources need to be provided to the police department in Gilgit.
Demanding more action from head of the provincial government, Hafeez asked Mehdi Shah to not fire ‘plastic projectiles (misssiles)’. He urged the CM to stop relying on newspaper statements and concentrate more on actions for better governance.
Most of the speakers endorsed the views presented by Hafeez ur Rehman. The speakers also demanded ban on usage of private guards and open exhibition of arms.
MLA Mirza Hussain said that the Peace Jirga could not function effectively because of inclusion of bureaucrats in the system.
What is Plastic Missile? Is it an idiom or they mean “ballistic missile” ?
Thanxz alot v re appreicate u Mr Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman 2 ur this initiative v re wd u. pls continue ur massion 4 peace in Gilgit Baltistan Region. Gr8 leader
“don’t fire plastic missiles”
yeah, fire the real ones like they do.
I totally disagree with Hafiz hafiz urrehman’s comments regarding Police forces to be well equiped.
This is crystal clear fact that police is behind target killings of civilians in Gilgit-Baltistan.
moreover, for your information, Hafiz and brother saifurrehaman were the initiators who initiated 1988 sectarian war in the region.
now how can he be the champion of peace. This “munafiqat” dual attitude has brought Gilgit city to this situation.
