Federal Government awards cash prize to Samina Baig

Islamabad, September 13: The federal Government awarded 2.5 million cash prize to Samina Baig for becoming the first Pakistani women to scale Mount Everest in May this year.
The federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, Mian Hussain Riaz Pirzada gave the cheque to the young climber on behalf of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at a ceremony in Islamabad on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister regarded her achievement as historic and expressed confidence that women of Pakistan would follow Samina Baig in presenting the soft and progressive image of Pakistan at global level.
The sincere suggestion to Samina Baig and her brother is to give periority to their higher education in a western country. for their bright future and the future of their family.
