Minister urges PTDC authorities to resolve payment issues before transferring staff
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Husain Pirzada has said that the liabilities and dues of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) employees should be paid before their transfer to provinces along with management of PTDC properties.
He stated this while chairing the 78th meeting of Board of Directors of PTDC. The meeting was attended by Secretary IPC/Vice-Chairman, PTDC Board, Additional Secretary IPC/Managing Director PTDC, Secretary Tourism, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Secretary Culture, Balochistan, Secretary Tourism, AJK, Secretary Implementation & Coordination, Gilgit-Baltistan, Joint Secretary, Kashmir Affair & Gilgit-Baltistan, Managing Director, TDCP, Managing Director, STDC, Muhammad Arfanullah Khan, Advocate, Senior Joint Secretary, Law & Justice Division, Financial Advisor IPC, Zafarullah Siddiqui, former secretary/director board, Akhtar Mummunka, Managing Director, Indus Guide and Salman Javed, Chairman, Standing Committee on Travel and Tourism FPCC&I.
The agenda of the meeting included the appointment of Secretary/Director of PTDC Board, review of the progress on decisions arrived at the 77th meeting, PTDC in the post-transfer scenario till winding up of the company, consideration and approval of the appointment of legal advisor for PTDC, joint venture of PTDC properties or facilities located in ICT, issues relating to the Lahore-Delhi Bus Service, setting up of Pakistan Tourism Board and regularisation of contract or daily wages employees under the establishment Division’s Notification Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Deputy Managing Director, was appointed/elected as Member/Secretary Board. Salman Javed, Chairman, Standing Committee on Travel and Tourism FPCC&I made a presentation on Pakistan Tourism Board.
