The government of Pakistan has imposed an "educational emergency", reducing funds for the Higher Education Commission. This reflects the fact that the Gilani government does not take education as a priority.

Ali Ahmad Jan (aka Little Artist Gulgee), a university student studying Mathematics, is a creative cartoonist. We are pleased to announce that Ali has joined Team Pamir Times as a volunteer cartoonist. We are confident that his creative ideas will help us highlight social ills in a powerful manner.
Pamir Times is the pioneering community news and views portal of Gilgit – Baltistan, Kohistan, Chitral and the surrounding mountain areas. It is a voluntary, not-for-profit, non-partisan and independent venture initiated by the youth.
